I have always had an interest in suspensions and other tribal rites of passage. would love to learn more about both. Have always wanted to try a suspension. just need some help
That was a good night. The level of trust I have in my fellow ihung members borders on the insane and is something everyone should have with the people that you work with. I thank every day that I have people like jason, drew, dave, mike, adrian, erin and all the others to do this with.
For damn sure, Shawn. Thanks again to you and Claire for documenting it and making such a wonderful video. I’ll be posting the RoP video next week sometime as well.

Beautiful!
I really love these posts – they have so much educational as well as visual value. Please keep up the good work!
And now I need to head over to Melissa’s page and check what she wrote about this…
Yeah, calf suspensions aren’t the easiest of things and can appear really rough, but in reality, this wasn’t too terrible. The pictures look much worse than the reality.

Excellent article.
I remember seeing this a while ago, and remember laughing to myself a little over the ‘hooks being sterilized’ part (not so much over the piercing procedure).
i am a very spiritual person and suspending has never been just for kicks. it’s one of the greatest tools i have yet encountered for learning about myself…but i am SO thankful those guys weren’t throwing hooks for me…and jealous of that guy swinging at the end…that looked fun. :]
I’m absolutely interested in the method they use for inserting the hooks, to the point where I’m going to witness similar Tamil suspensions in the next 3 weeks and am hoping to get the opportunity to discuss the procedure with them and take that knowledge with me to hopefully try the methods on myself.

So neat to see that. I want to make a hundred jokes, but I just don’t care, it was cool.
But apparently we are all miracle performers and miraculous people, ha.
